At the event, we will be celebrating the launch of a tri-lingual walking audio tour– available in English, Spanish and Washoe. This free, downloadable tour is designed to accompany visitors as they explore the natural and cultural histories that have shaped, and been shaped, by the stunning landscape of Lake Tahoe.

This event is designed to engage all ages! We will have a reading circle where a Washoe, Spanish and English story will be told or read.  The El Dorado Public Library system is developing a brochure to help you get to know some local birds, we’ll give group demonstration tours of the Audio Tour in all three languages, and local organizations will be there to share what they do to make the community more literate about Lake Tahoe!

We hope to see you there!

The event starts at 2:00 PM with welcome talks beginning at 2:30 PM.

Guided audio tour demonstrations in all three languages will set off at 3:00 PM and again at 4:00 PM. If you would like to experience the audio tour on your own, be sure to download the TravelStorys app before you arrive!

Lastly, reading circles in all three languages will be happening over the course of the event. So drop by the ampitheater to hear a story in Spanish, Washoe, or English.
