Our planet does some pretty amazing things for us. Celebrate Earth Day with the Tahoe Earth Week Challenge.

• Go on a hike – blaze a trail of kindness in a new place.
• Watch Protect Lake Tahoe with Generation Green and the USFS!

• Join the Earth Day Cleanup with Keep Tahoe Blue on Tuesday April 22!
• Download the Citizen Science Tahoe App and help scientists find solutions to Tahoe’s environmental threats.
• Walk, bike, roll, or take a bus or microtransit to get around town.What to Wear: Colors of the Rainbow

• Join the League to save Lake Tahoe for their Earth Day Lake Clean up!
• Use or make a reusable grocery bag out of an old t-shirt – VIDEO
• Walk, bike, roll or take a bus or microtransit to get around town.

• Join the Tahoe Institute for Natural Science’s Wildflower Big Year!
• Download the Tahoe Nature Activity Book for a month’s worth of nature activities.
• Join the dark sky movement and turn off outside lights at night to protect migrating wildlife and save energy.
• Learn about wildlife migration.
• Do your part to Keep Wildlife Wild by securing trash with bear-proof bins, be BearWise.

• • Fill your reusable water bottle with Tahoe Tap and help eliminate microplastics from polluting our waterways.
  • Check out the Drink Tahoe Tap Refill Station Map to learn where you can fill up for free.
  • Move away from plastic use to help keep our planet clean!

• Join a tree planting event with the Sugar Pine Foundation.
• Learn Washoe names and pronunciations of native plants & animals!
• Find a local nursery and plant local plants!
• Stay up to date on the latest fire regulations!
• Watch A Fire For All video — FOREST⇌FIRE
