The UC Davis Tahoe Science Center is temporarily closed to the public due to the Covid-19 pandemic. However, education has continued through social media platforms. Recently, @UCDavisTahoe began a social media campaign called Science-in-Place to promote environmental education from home. The posts follow daily themes: Minute Monday, Tahoe Tuesday, Watershed Wednesday, Throwback Thursday, and Fun Friday. These posts include a variety of simple at-home science activities, citizen science activities, and fun facts about Lake Tahoe. These posts are meant to be engaging and simple to make it as easy as possible for families to incorporate science into their daily lives. Check out the UC Davis TERC Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter pages @UCDavisTahoe for the Science-In-Place campaign.

Additionally, there is an ever-evolving Science-at-Home Resources page curated by the UC Davis TERC Education Team that includes free STEM (Science Technology Engineering Math) resources available at https://tinyurl.com/scienceathomeresources.
