The UC Davis Tahoe Environmental Research Center (TERC) Monthly Lecture Series provides a forum for community members to hear about the newest research from science experts in various fields. This is an ongoing event geared toward learners of all ages. Previous subjects have addressed wide-ranging environmental issues such as global climate policies potential effects on natural carbon sinks, scientific research on practical methods for retaining memory capacity, regional topics such as the conservation of the Mountain Yellow-Legged Frog in the Sierra Nevada Range, and topics of general interest that may tickle the funny bone such as the psychology of humor. Since 2006, the UC Davis TERC evening lectures have grown tremendously, and TERC aims to continue expanding our reach by offering recordings of the lectures online and will soon be presenting these talks in real-time via live-streaming. Registration is highly recommended, as capacity is limited, and attendance is usually at maximum capacity.
