What we will do
We will plant 200 western white pines at Northstar California Resort. You get to dig in the dirt and enjoy the mountain views.
What to bring
Please wear closed-toe shoes and bring your own water bottle and snacks.
Why are we doing this
Western white pines are plagued by a non-native invasive fungus called white pine blister rust. We will plant seedling progeny of rust-resistant trees in order to strengthen the western white pine population and thus improve forest health.
