Celebrate the Earth and join Squaw Valley Alpine Meadows for the largest eco-event in the North Lake Tahoe and Truckee area. Truckee Tahoe Earth Day gives participants the opportunity to learn about earth-friendly practices including recycling, composting, alternative energy, and sustainability. A diverse array of agency representatives and earth friendly vendors will be present to help participants learn more about how they can reduce their ecological footprint.


Schedule:
– 11 a.m.: Main event in the Village at Squaw begins with educational booths on display all day

– 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.: Turn in single-use plastic water bottles at the Squaw Valley Alpine Meadows tent in exchange for one free refillable bottle in celebration of the Drink Mountain Tap program

– 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.: Nevada Discovery Zone hosted by the Terry Lee Wells Nevada Discovery Museum – First Street

– 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.: Truth Cartel – Events Plaza Stage

– 2-2:15 p.m.: Asha Dancers – Events Plaza Stage

– 2:15-3 p.m.: Trashion Show – Events Plaza Stage

– 3:30-5 p.m.: The Sextones – Events Plaza Stage

– 5 p.m.: Squaw Valley Institute and Citizens Climate Lobby present “Saving Snow” – Base Camp
