Description
Join the UC Davis Tahoe Environmental Research Center (TERC) for High Elevation Gardening, a community outreach and seedling dispersal series designed to provide Tahoe residents with the resources and science-based strategies to grow successfully and sustainably in our mountain environment.
Each event offers an opportunity to discover science-based strategies for watershed-friendly gardening, gardening strategies for high elevation, participate in a long-term varietal phenology project, purchase seedlings selected for our area, and connect with fellow Tahoe gardeners and be a part of our growing community.
TERC will bring High Elevation Gardening programming to four community events across the basin:
- Wednesday, April 22 (2:00pm-5:00pm): Tahoe City Earth Day Clean-up at California 89 (170 N. Lake Blvd in Tahoe City)
- Sunday, May 17 (1:00pm-4:30pm): Fanny Bridge Dedication & Community Block Party at Gatekeepers Museum (130 W. Lake Blvd in Tahoe City)
- Saturday, May 23 (2:00pm-5:00pm): Opening Day at the Lake at Heritage Plaza (570 N. Lake Blvd in Tahoe City)
- Wednesday, May 27 (4:00pm-6:00pm): TERC Tahoe City Field Station Open House at the UC Davis Tahoe City Field Station (2400 Lake Forest Rd in Tahoe City)
