Fanny Bridge Dedication and Community Block Party
Tahoe City, CA
Posted By: UC Davis Tahoe Environmental Research Center
Description
Join the Tahoe community in celebrating the reopening of Tahoe City’s iconic Fanny Bridge, a beloved landmark spanning the Truckee River and connecting residents and visitors to the heart of Lake Tahoe. Following a major replacement project designed to improve safety, accessibility, and pedestrian and bicycle connectivity, the bridge once again welcomes the public, marking an important milestone for the region’s future.
This special dedication and community block party brings together local organizations, families, and visitors for a day of celebration, learning, and connection along the riverfront.
TERC will be on site to provide science-based strategies for gardening in the Tahoe region, explore what grows best in our mountain environment, learn strategies to sustain the Tahoe Basin, and connect with fellow Tahoe gardeners.
This program is part of a three-event High Elevation Gardening Outreach series led by the UC Davis Tahoe Environmental Research Center (TERC), bringing garden education and plants selected for our locale to community events across the basin.
Featuring leafy greens, tomatoes, potatoes, beans, and peas. Crop availability varies by event and season.
