The Pioneer Monument
The Pioneer Monument is turning 100 this year! Erected to honor the immigrants who passed through Truckee en-route to new opportunities in the West, the Pioneer Monument has stood majestically at Donner Memorial State Park At its dedication on June 6, 1918, thousands of people and three Donner Party survivors gathered to honor the past. June 9, 2018 is the re-dedication, centennial celebration, and restoration kickoff of this iconic statue.

Centennial Fundraising Gala – 5:30-9 p.m. ($125, proceeds go towards the Donner Project)
Gala Information
Celebrate the 100 year anniversary of the Pioneer Monument and kickoff the Donner Project fundraising campaign with a cocktail hour, live music, and silent auction at 5:30 p.m., followed by a gourmet feast of Farm and Sea by Magic Mountain Catering paired with fine wines and a “not-so-silent” auction.
