12th Annual Sierra Forage Dinner Celebrating 35 Years of Grassroots Environmental Advocacy for Truckee Tahoe

Celebrate MAP’s 35th Anniversary at the 12th Annual Sierra Forage Dinner on Friday, August 19th, from 5:30 to 9:30 pm at the Stables in Olympic Valley. The Sierra Forage Dinner features a family-style, multi-course, farm-to-table dinner by Noisettes, wine pairings by Illanta Wines, a live auction to benefit MAP, music by long-time locals Kurt Beckering & Sean Duerr, and celebratory toasts honoring more than three decades of grassroots environmental advocacy for Truckee Tahoe!

MAP supporters can buy an individual ticket for $225 per person, or you can purchase a table for $2,500, which provides reserved seating for ten guests. Farm table purchases include your own private, ten-top table with a special champagne welcome. The dinner is limited to 150 seats, and tables sell quickly. Don’t miss out on MAP’s signature fundraising event dining under the stars!

Farm-to-Table Dinner by Noisettes Mobile Kitchen

The Sierra Forage Dinner is centered around the ideology of good food shared by good people who give back to the environment and community! MAP has hosted the event twelve times, and this is our second-anniversary celebration to date! We are thrilled to feature a locally sourced, organic, and ethically curated menu prepared by the Sallah sisters of Noisettes.

Michelle and Mary are a dynamic sister team, bringing culinary talent and passion for small-scale agriculture to their events and menus. The Sierra Forage Dinner will feature a primarily vegetarian menu, with a salmon option, utilizing locally sourced produce, cheeses, and baked goods. If you have dietary restrictions such as gluten-free, that can also be accommodated at the dinner. Learn more about Noisettes mobile kitchen.

Wine Pairings by Illanta Wines

The Sierra Forage Dinner will include wine pairings by Illanta Wines, based in Tahoe City, CA. Illanta Wines makes small-batch, limited-production wines with grapes sourced from California’s wine country. Founded by two friends who share a passion for strong community and great wine, Illanta Wines is the inspiration of Jessica Stanley and Allison Yonto. It started as an idea between friends: What if we made a wine that delivered distinctive taste and gave back to the Tahoe community that has given us so much?

We are delighted to have Illanta Wines support MAP and the Sierra Forage Dinner this year. Guests can experience Illanta wines paired with the Noisettes menu and purchase wine at the event. Wine sales at the dinner, such as purchasing bottles or cases, will also help support MAP’s fundraising efforts at the dinner, making a wine win!

Music by Kurt Beckering & Sean Duerr

No celebration is complete without some local talent! This year’s dinner will feature Kurt Beckering and Sean Duerr, Tahoe locals who have been musicians in many bands such as Dead Winters Carpenters, the Rusty Strings, No Deal, and more! Kurt and Sean will entertain guests with fun and energetic music celebrating MAP’s grassroots environmental advocacy work for Truckee Tahoe!

These are just a few highlights of what is in store for the 12th Annual Sierra Forage Dinner hosted by MAP on Friday, August 19th, at the Stables in Olympic Valley.

Live Auction

Support MAP’s mission by participating in the live auction at the Sierra Forage Dinner. This year’s event will feature a live auction and a matching opportunity to support MAP’s fundraising goals. We plan to auction exciting recreational experiences, outdoor gear, entertainment, travel, and more! By bidding in the auction or supporting the MAP match at the dinner, guests are helping to fuel MAP’s priority advocacy campaigns to protect open space and advocate for responsible development. We can’t wait to share more about the auction and match as we get closer to the event!
