Sand Harbor Visitor Center

The Sand Harbor Visitor Center is located at Sand Harbor of Lake Tahoe Nevada State Park. Fees to enter the park are $10 per vehicle.

The visitor center, open since 2007, serves as a welcome center for the park but also has displays related to Lake Tahoe’s natural and cultural history. Learn about Comstock-era logging activities in the area, the fascinating history of Sand Harbor, the Comstock’s historic Virginia Gold Hill Water Company, and other local information.

The visitor center also has a gift shop, park store, and seasonal restaurant concession next door.

Off-season hours:
Wednesday through Sunday
9 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Summer hours:
Sunday through Saturday
9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
