Special Event and Short Films

Do one thing this Earth Day and commit to being straw free. 500 million straws are used and discarded every day in the United States alone. That’s enough straws to wrap around the Earth’s circumference 2.5 times a day! Join local students and become part of a regional and global movement to eliminate plastic drinking straws from our landfills, streams, oceans, and beaches. Students will host educational tables during happy hour from 5:30 – 6 p.m., present on local programs to reduce single use plastic waste, and host screenings of the short films “Straws” and “Everything Connects.”

Registration Requested

No-host bar at 5:30 p.m. with the presentation starting at 6:00 p.m. Registration here.
