Tahoe Science Center Docent Training
The 2022 Docent Training Program is happening June 15, June 16, and June 17, at the Tahoe Science Center in Incline Village. This free training program is a combination of live virtual webinars, recordings to watch on your own time, an in-person tour at the Tahoe Science Center, and a trip on the Research Vessel! Our goal for the program is to provide comprehensive environmental education as well as leadership skills that act as a refresher for current docents. We will also provide new docents with all the instruction they will need to help the public explore our science education centers. Session 1 (June 15, 2022): Welcome and Introductions, Lake Tahoe 101, and Current Research of Lake Tahoe Session 2 (June 16, 2022): Education Exhibits of the Tahoe Science Center, Online Resources, and Docent Social Hour Session 3 (June 17, 2022): Research Vessel excursions To register for docent training please contact TERC’s Docent Program Coordinator Noah Shapiro by emailing [email protected].
