Building Resilience in Youth Lecture
Building Resilience in Youth
Posted By: UC Davis Tahoe Environmental Research Center
Promoting resilience is key to supporting healthy development in youth; yet, there has been a decline in youth resilience across the United States. About 1 in 4 to 5 youth develop a mental health disorder which leads to poor school outcomes and higher rates of risky behaviors, self-harm, and even suicide. Join us for a rich discussion about trends in adolescent health and how we, as parents and as community members, support youth in developing protective factors that can bolster their resilience and help youth thrive.
