What we'll do

Volunteer and help us build the new Big Chief Trail near Truckee! Optimized for mountain biking and open to multiple use, the trail will offer exciting new recreation opportunities to the region. The new 7-mile trail will connect the Sawtooth Loop Trail with Watson Lake and the Tahoe Rim Trail. Volunteer work will include shaping trail features and forming the trail corridor.

We will provide all tools and training, no experience required. Kids are welcome but must be accompanied by an adult.

All participants will receive lunch and a free T-shirt!

What to bring

Volunteers should be prepared to work in any type of weather. Please check the weather forecast and dress accordingly. Long pants, sunglasses, and ankle-supporting boots with good traction (i.e. hiking or work boots) are recommended. Please bring water, snacks, any emergency personal medications (like epi-pens), sunscreen, and bug repellent.

Lunch will be provided.
