Special Lecture at Tahoe Science Center
Posted By: UC Davis Tahoe Environmental Research Center
We wouldn’t be here today without beer. Our ancestors drank it and survived because converting water to beer killed pathogenic organisms. By creating a “healthier” beverage, beer allowed our ancestors to pass their beer-drinking genes on to us.
And beer tastes good as well as working wonders. Beer comes in so many styles and flavors, it can be difficult to know how to choose. Luckily, Dr. Charlie Bamforth is here to guide us.
$25 paid in advance; $35 at the door. Includes beer-tasting and refreshments.
Begins promptly at 6 p.m. Must be 21 or older to attend. Please register for your seat at http://tahoe.ucdavis.edu/events/
Dr. Charlie Bamforth, the Sultan of Suds, is a Distinguished Professor Emeritus at UC Davis. Charlie has been brewing since 1978 and has since received many accolades, written many books, and spoken about beer across the globe. He is currently the Senior Quality Advisor for Sierra Nevada Brewing Company.
