Join Alpine Watershed Group for the 19th Annual Markleeville Creek Day. This event allows for the completion of important watershed restoration work. Volunteers are needed to help complete projects throughout the East and West Fork Carson including stream bank stabilization, invasive weed removal, trail maintenance, and more. All are welcome to attend. No experience is necessary. Participants will gather in the Markleeville Library Park (270 Laramie Street) at 9am for registration and introductions. Groups then carpool to their restoration project locations. At the end of the day, everyone will come back together for a fun community gathering, more details to come! Alpine Watershed Group is a non-profit organization whose mission is to protect and enhance Alpine County watersheds.
